360 gsm 2x1 lycra rib
360 gsm 2x1 lycra rib half feeder
There are many derivatives of circular rib knitting. There some are with spandex and some are without spandex. For high gsm fabric, there needs 300 gsm to 400 gsm trims fabric to use in the neck, cuff, and bottom of the garments. To make the good shape and to get the recovery we need to use spandex with yarn. In this blog, I am going to discuss 360 gsm 2x1 lycra rib half feeder fabric.
Required yarn count:24/1cb cotton +70D spandex half feeder
Stitch length: 2.75
In case of 70D spandex is not available in the factory then we can use 40 D spandex double-ply to make the fabrics.
The quality of the fabric that will be used in 40D double-ply will be good than 70D spandex. Because 40D double-ply means it will be 80D. So here recovery will be more due to the 10D difference.
If 40D spandex is not available but we have 40D and 30D then that also can be used at a time 40D+30D will be set in the same feeder. Here the quality will be the same as 70D because there has no denier difference.
Some factories do heat set the half feeder fabric and some factories do not do heat set. If we do heat set then we never get a good recovery than non-heat set fabric.
Spandex has a direct influence on fabric quality. There are many qualities of 2x1 lycra rib. There are some full-feeder lycra fabrics. One of them is 40/1 CB cotton and 20D full-feeder spandex fabric. Another one is 340gsm full-feeder spandex fabric. For this, we need to use 26/1 combed cotton and 40d spandex full feeder. Nowadays in all countries people like full feeder fabric for their inner dress. Some quality fabrics are done with viscose.
