Hello viewers in this blog I am going to discuss with you all about an electronic crock meter for rubbing fastness check. The machine brand is SDL ATLAS, and model no. M2388. This machine is generally used in a physical lab in any textile dyeing finishing industry.
Below is the standard operating procedure for an electronic crock meter.
1. First of all we need to check the machine calibration status.
2. Connect the power and press on "ON'' button in crock meter.
3. Press the sample on the crock meter and secure it firmly with a pin clip so that it has flat.
4. Using the spring clip, mount the rubbing/crocking should be according to the relevant standard.
5. Lower the covered finger onto the sample by removing the clip on the left hand.
6. Follow whether the number of terms is set to ten times or not. If not set for ten times press the start button to start the test.
7. After completing the total cycle alarm will ring, stop the alarm by pressing on RST button.
8. Pull up the finger frame, locked by a clip on the left-hand side, and need to remove the rubbed or crocked clothes.
9. Repeat the same process for both dry and wet rubbing/crocking.
