Rotary crock meter description

  Rotary crock meter

Dear viewer hopes that you are well everybody. Today in this blog I am going to discuss the Rotary crock meter. This machine is used to test all samples that are provided to test the quality of the fabric for the rubbing tests. The working procedure is given below:

a) Check the calibration status of the machine.

b) Remove the test weight from the vertical rod.

c) Tilt the upper half of the machine away to allow access to the base of the machine place a test square on the end of the vertical rod and fasten it with the spring clip.

d) Hood the test specimen on the machine base at the point of the vertical rod contact with the base. Tilt the upper half of the machine back to the operating position with the test square at the end of the shaft in contact with the test specimen. Place the weight supplied with the crock meter on the vertical shaft to give the rubbing finger a downward force of  11N (+/-) 10%.

e) With the left hand hold the test sample in position on the base Turn the crank 20 turns with the right hand. This completes 40 reciprocal turns of the vertical shaft.

f) Tilt the upper part of the machine back and remove the test sample and the test square and then condition and evaluate.

g) We need to do this process for both dry and wet rubbing of the test sample to get the result.

We recommend general instruction for every test that there needs to take a preparatory process to get the exact results.
