  How To Calculate gsm without gsm cutter:

To Fulfill this calculation we need some apparatus like the below : 

1. Gsm weight machine.

2. Centimetre scale.

3. Fabric piece.

Say that fabric cutting piece is as like as below:

Length=7 cm

Width=4 cm

So the area of this fabric piece=[7 X 4] cm2 

=28 cm2

Now we take weight of the piece that we measured.

Suppose we got 0.56 grams on the gsm weight scale.

we know the formula for small piece gsm

                   weight in gram  x  10000

=............................................................................................... gram 

                   Area of the pieced fabric 

              0.56 x 10000

=.........................................gram 

                    28

=200 grams per square meter
