280 gsm 2x1 full feeder Spandex rib fabric :
There is various gsm fabric on 2x1 full feeder spandex rib fabric. In this blog, I will share the parameter of 275-280 gsm fabric.
Required yarn count: 30/1 combed cotton + 40D spandex
Fabric composition: 94% combed cotton 6% spandex
Knitting machine dia x gauge: 42x18
Required dia: 54 inch
Stitch length: 2.85 mm
Knitting machine spandex feeding cm: 250 centimeter
During knitting grey dia: 53 inch
During knitting grey gsm: 285
After relaxing grey dia: 51 inch
After relaxing gsm: 335
We washed the fabric to check the fabric gsm possibility.
After wash dia: 41 inch
After wash gsm: 518
Tumble dry lengthwise shrinkage%: -26%
Tumble dry widthwise shrinkage% : -16 %
As it is a full feeder spandex fabric so we just need to heat set the fabric. Bruckner stenter parameter is given below:
Setting dia: 59 inch
Overfeed% : 45%
Temperature: 195°C
Speed: 18 meter / minute
After heat set dia: 58 inch
After heat set gsm: 270
After heat set we checked shrinkage and got as below:
Dia: 59 inch
gsm : 279
Lengthwise%: +1.5%
Widthwise%: -10%
After that we dye the fabric in a dyeing machine and then dry it in a Stenter machine as per the below parameter:
Speed: 20 meter / minute
Temperature: 140°C
Overfeed%: 50%
Dia: 54 inch
Gsm: 270
After that, we compacted the fabric in a lafer compactor machine as per the below parameter:
Temperature: 110°C
Speed: 20 meter / minute
Overfeed%: 50%
Steam: Half
Finished dia: 53 inch
Finished gsm: 280
Lengthwise shrinkage: -3.2%
Widthwise shrinkage%: -3.5%
Spirality%: 1%
We always make half-feeder trims rib but sometimes also make full-feeder spandex rib. Due to full feeder spandex being more or double than half feeder and can gain better recovery than half feeder and fabrics smoothness is very fine.
