Chemical properties of Polypropylene fiber :

1. Bleaching: It has well prevented to bleach at a temperature of 65°C. If we wash fabric above 65°C then the fabric will lose its strength.

2. Reaction in Acid: It has good prevention to all kinds of acid but powerful oxidizing acid can harm it.

3. Reaction with alkali: It has high prevention in alkali.

4. Reaction in organic solvent: Petroleum and fluro carbon dry can not harm it. Perchloro ethylene wet it and can shrink it.

5. Sunlight and heat: If we keep it for a long time in heat then it can lose its strength.

6. Due to less moisture regain can not dye it easily. Generally, we use pigment here.

7. It can be melted by heat.
