  A brief discussion on Cotton fiber :

Cotton is one kind of cellulosic fiber . Fibers are adjacent around to it seeds so it is also called as Natural Seed fiber. As per botanical classification this is in Gossypium class. 

For business purpose we generally use below species: 

1. Gossypium Herbacum 

2.Gossypium Arboreum 

3.Gossypium Hirsutam 

4.Gossypium Barbadense

Now come to these brief discussion : 

1.  Gossypium Herbacum :

This type of cotton tree is 1-1.2 meter in height . Its flowers are yellow. Generally we get this type of cotton in India , Pakistan , China & in Bangladesh . This type of fibers length is 20-26 mm. 

2.Gossypium Arboreum : This type of cotton tree become 2-2.5 meter in height. Its flowers are looks like red color. This type of fiber cultivated in America , India , Pakistan , china ,Russia. This type of cotton fiber has an average length of 15-30 mm . 

 3.Gossypium Hirsutam :

This type of cotton cultivated in South America. This type of cotton tree looks like 3-4 meter . This trees flower also looks like yellow color . Some countries of south America cultivate this type of cotton . Also cultivate this fiber cultivated in India , Pakistan & Russia .This type of fiber has length like 25-35 mm . 

4.Gossypium Barbadense: 

This  type of cotton tree be upto 5 mtr long . Missor and Sea-Island cotton are in this class . This type of trees flower looks yellowish . This type of cotton seeds are very small . This type of  fiber has an Average length of 30-60 mm.
