Programming anything is the most important work. Such as Computer programming, software programming, and any other are not so easy tasks. There are many years of work and their experience influences programming efficiency. Programming efficiency is most important to work correctly in any sector.

In that way, knitting programming is not out of the above. A successful programmer must have the important knowledge to execute his work. 

a. Time management capacity: He should have the knowledge that what works when need to do it. Just now he may have 5-10 works in his hand. In this case, he needs to prioritize his work based on the importance of this work and then he can easily complete his task. Here he may need to prioritize as per his/her senior's order and some needs for the sequence of workflow.

b. Fabric booking receive: The programmer will receive fabric booking from the merchandiser. After getting fabric booking he must need to check if all parameters that are included in the booking are correctly input or not. Booking parameters mean fabric design, dia, gsm, fabric type, elastane percentage if, finishing process, color type single part or double part, process loss, yarn type normal or vortex, yarn %, Any special finish required or not like to mercerize or sueded, any fabric quality guideline or not. 

c. After yarn allocation need to check whether yarn quality is it ok or not. Which option is ok and which option is not ok. Yarn tests normally do white, for CVC fabric we do white,  single part dark color, and double part dark color. Generally, we choose it in Navy, black, or teal color to test the yarn quality. 

d. Before yarn allocation if the booking has All over print then need to check with the AOP department to get the before AOP gsm what should keep. What type of print will be done that must be sure. It is also necessary to inform the dyeing-finishing department about the before-aop requirement through the mail.  

e. After that need to check which dia we will select to knit and do the program. If the yarn is not available then we need to use maybe two or three lot of yarn because of the big volume of order quantity. Then we will use a single lot in critical and light color based on yarn quality and will try to use two or more lots in dark color. 

f. At last we need to share the stitch length based on color or shade% and finishing process. After set stitch length we will give the program to the floor. 

g. We need to set the timeline that when the day we will finish the order and follow up on the daily loading plan.
