HOW TO MAKE PLATED JERSEY
How to make plated Jersey:
Plated jersey is a single jersey derivative. In a single jersey machine, we need to set yarn through the definite hole of the feeder and need set polyester yarn through another hole. There we can use like below.
Required gsm:160
Yarn count: 40/1+50d poly
Stitch length: 2.70+2.60
For gsm: 200
Yarn count : 32/1+75d poly
Stitch length : 3.20+3.10
For gsm 170
Yarn count : 40/1 combed cotton +75d poly
In plated fabric
normally we can find polyester yarn in the inner part of the fabric. We can set
dyed yarn in cotton and can check that is there any polyester visibility.
During the knitting of the
fabric, we can check a small piece in laboratory dyeing.
The fabric effect can be
different due to the cotton part and polyester part dyeing. We also can dye the
fabric as cross dyeing. Then two sides will look different colors. We can change the color effect by using
different types of yarn like CVC like 60% cotton and 40% polyester, 70% cotton
and 30% polyester, 50% polyester and 50% cotton, 80% cotton 20% polyester,
95% cotton 5% viscose, 90% cotton 10% viscose, 85% cotton 15% viscose as topside yarn. When we use blended yarn
like CVC and pc then we can dye it in a different shade.
Fabric s finishing processes
are different in some special cases like
if we want to use some fabric quality and longevity increasing chemical. For
example, Antimicrobial finishes and mothproofing.
Fabric texture and gsm depend on yarn count and stitch
length. We maximum make plated jersey as normal fabric without spandex. But
sometimes buyer wants to take fabric with spandex to make fabric elongation and
better recovery. This fabric can be used as a tee-shirt, long pants, or shirt.
