Non Ionic softener

  Non ionic softener : 

This types of softener has no ion so it is called like this . Generally they are formed from ether , poly-glycol esters ethoxylated products , Parafin and fats . This type of softener quality is not good like cationic or anionic softener . But this types of softener has good characteristics that it can sustain in fabric in the presence of hard water , acid , cat-ion , An-ion environment. Due to charge less quality of this softener we need to apply this softener by pressure to the fabric . Padding method is the best process for this type of softener . Another method is exhaust method . This type of softener are used for synthetic fiber and their blends . 

Properties of  Non-ionic softener : 

1. Soluble in water 

2. Must not use hot water during application 

3. Looks like creamy paste 

4. Need to add acetic acid with cold water after that need to add softener 

5. It never effects colorfastness of the fabric 

6.Never makes fabric yellowish 

7. Not bad for human skins 

8. It makes fabrics bulky and heavy hand-feel

9. Useable in all types of fiber 

10. Never effects dyes fastness 

11. Can be use with silicon and cationic products
