An overview on cutting table in garments industry

  Cutting table in garments :

Cutting table is most important in any garments industry. In every garment industry, it is available. Because they need to cut fabrics to make garments part. To produce a huge number of garments in the textile industry it is very necessary to cut fabrics as per pattern. For this reason, we need a long table to lay the fabrics. Cutting table purposes are given below: 

1. In a short time we can cut many pieces of garments parts. 

2. To reduce garment costs by reducing waste. 

3. To supply garments on time to buyers.

4. As per standard measurement can cut fabrics part. 

5. Faultless garment making.

6. Can increase the demand in the market.  


Feature of cutting table: 

1. Cutting table surface should be smooth so that the cutting machine can move easily on the table. 

2. Cutting table must be hard and must be able to keep more lay on it. 

3. Table width must be more than the width of the fabric. 

4. Cutting table must be long.

5. Cutting table top must be 3.5 feet high from the floor.

6. Cutting table must be adjusted well with the floor because it should not move when we cut fabrics on the table. 

7. Cutting table weight must be sufficient so that it can not move easily.

8. If we use Computer controlled cutting knife machine then the table must be holes on the table. 

9. If the cutting table is longer it will less wastage. 

10. Wooden tables can give good results. But in recent times all factory uses steel table.   


Working principles of the perforated table: 

Cutting by plasma torch: By this process need to use argon gas through the nogel to cut by the flame of argon gas. This is good for single-ply cutting. In this case, the cutting table must have 85% perforated. Up to now, this cutting process is under experiment. 


Preferable cutting techniques: 

In the readymade garments industry, there are various types of cutting processes are used. Among them straight knife cutting is the most popular cutting process. by this process we can cut fabrics easily and speedily. This machine has some major parts, they are base plate, below the base plate there are set some small wheel which helps to move the cutting machine easily on the table.  On the base plate with the stand, a motor is attached and a handle is attached to the motor. Stand has a set knife in it. There is a knife guard in front of the knife. Near the knife, there is a grinding wheel that can help to sharpen the knife during cutting. This cutting machine knife height can be 10 centimeters to 33 centimeters and the stroke can be 2.5 centimeters to 4.5 centimeters.  With this cutting knife, we need two types of force to cut. One is to move the cutting machine up and down. The more speed of the knife the more cutting production. How much force needs to apply by a motor also need to assume. Generally, this type of cutting machine used to cut lightweight and soft fabric cutting. 


Advantages of  straight knife cutting: 

1. Due to comparatively cheap cutting, easily moveable, can cut the maximum height of the fabric lay. 

2. This is a very good round knife.

3. To give more production we can cut 10 inches above the lay.

4. Speedy cutting process.

5. Directly separate the fabric part during cutting.

6. Can sharpen during cutting so time will be saved. 

7. We can cut any fabric. 

8. Machine operating process is not so tough.
