  Dyeing : 

Dyeing is one kind of art by which process dyestuff applied to textile material and change its general  and chemical properties of the material and throughout the penetration makes uniform and even color effect . Dyestuffs are complex unsaturated aromatic organic compound  .  Dyestuff  must have some important properties like below . 

1. Intense color 

2. Solubility 

3. Substantive 

4. Fastness 

Elaborate description : 

1. Intense color : Color intensive quality maintain in the chromophore group and Auxochrome  is color increasing group. Every dye must have tentorial effect which depends on chromophore and auxochrome  group . 

2. Solubility :Solubility is the quality of dyes in water or any other solvent .  It is not possible to dye textile material without dissolved dyes. So every dyes must be able dissolve properties in any liquor . 

3.Substantivity : Substantivity is one kind of affinity to any textile material . Any kind of dye must have the ability to enter into textile fiber or textile material . We measure substantivity by affinity of the dye . 

4. fastness : Color fastness is one kind of resistance which reduce the effect of wash , rubbing and light .
