Spandex waffle fabric parameter

  LYCRA WAFFLE FABRIC 

This is one kind of rib derivative. There are various types of waffles in circular knitting. From that all I am going to discuss lycra waffle fabric today. This is a simple waffle with lycra. 

Fabric composition: 58% cotton 39% polyester 3% spandex 

Required gsm: 230

Required yarn: 32/1cvc(60/40)%+40D spandex 

Here spandex will be used in knit .

Required dia: 76 inch 

This fabrics shrinkage method is Line dry method. 

Machine dia x gauge: 40 x 18

Stitch length: 2.80+2.30

After the knitting is complete we need to heat set the fabric then will be batch and dyeing. 

Heat set parameter : 

Speed : 18 meter / minute

Temperature: 198 °C

Overfeed % : 50%

Setting width: 78 inch

After heat  set dia: 78 inch

After heat set gsm: 238 

After that, we dye the fabric and then we dry the fabric in a dryer machine. The dryer machine parameter is given below: 

Speed: 30 meter/minute

Temperature: 140°C

Overfeed: 50/15

After dryer dia: 76 inch

After dry gsm: 233 

After that to give good quality to the fabric we do compact. 

Compacting parameter is given below: 

Speed: 18 meter/minute

Temperature: 130°C

Overfeed: 40%

After compacting dia: 75 inch 

Aftercompacting gsm:228

After the shrinkage check we got as below:

Lengthwise: -7%

Widthwise%:-4%

Spirality: 2%
