  How to use pH meter in textile lab : 

In this blog I am going to show you about how we have to use pH meter in Textile lab . So please read full blog to understand the matter carefully . 

The pH meter that I am going to discuss is of model no. HI-2211 which made by manufacturer Hanna and testing method is ISO3071,AATCC81. 

How to operate machine : 

1. Switch on the power supply .

2. Press the main power button of equipment carefully .

3.Wash the electrode thoroughly with grade -3 water . 

4.Press Cal button to check the calibration status by buffer pH 4, pH 7 and pH 10.

5. After calibration rinse the electrode and beaker with distilled water . 

6.Take the pH value of  water another time . 

7.Take water extract solution .

8.Immerse the electrode and thermometer into the beaker . 

9. Note the pH value when stabilized . 

Precaution : 

1.Always immerse the electrodes in distilled water .

2. Buffer solution pH 4 , pH 7 and pH 10 should be use as per manufacturer instruction .

3.Electrode should be washed with acetic acid and distilled water before taking the result .

4.Immerse the electrode in 3M KCl solution if we want to use the electrode for long time . 

The process should be supervise by the department head/ responsible person to maintain accuracy of above mentioned .
